When will testing center examinations resume?
Currently, no official date has been announced for the resumption of traditional
testing center examinations (Paper-based, Computer-based, and Internet-based
testing) in the United States. In the meantime, all examinations that were
suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic are being transitioned to the
IBT at Home format, which is set to begin in December 2024.
We recommend candidates regularly check our website for updates on when testing
center examinations will resume.
How can I delete my account and my personal data?
To delete your account, follow these steps:
- Go to My Page > Personal Information.
- Scroll down and click Delete My Account at the bottom of the page.
- Submit the form to request account deletion.
Your request will be reviewed and processed once approved by the administrator. Your personal data will be automatically deleted after the account deletion is approved.

I forgot my password, what should I do?
If you forgot your password, follow these steps to reset it:
- Go to the Login Page
- Click Forgot Password below the password field.
- Enter the email address associated with your account in the pop-up window.
- Submit your request, and you will receive instructions on how to reset your password.

How can I change my email address or password?
To change your email address:
- Go to My Page > Personal Information > Email.
- Note that the email used for your G-TELP account registration cannot be changed as it is tied to your account ID.
- However, you can update the email address where you receive G-TELP updates.
To change your password:
- Go to My Page > Personal Information > Change Password.
- Enter current password, your new password, and confirm new password.
- Ensure that your password meets the following requirements:
- Includes an uppercase letter (A-Z), lowercase letter (a-z), number (0-9), or a symbol (!@#$%^&*()).
- Has a length of 8-15 characters.
Note: Passwords can only be changed once within a 24 hour period.
How long does it take to get a refund?
Refunds are issued to the payment method used during the original transaction. The processing time depends on the card issuer and typically takes
5 to 30 days.If you do not receive the refund within this timeframe, please:
- Contact your bank or credit card provider.
- Contact our support team at support@itsc-group.com for further assistance.

What is the deadline for refund requests?
To be eligible for a refund, you must cancel your test at least 4 days before the test date.
For example, if your test is on Sunday, you must cancel it before the end of Wednesday to qualify for a refund.
Refund policy details:
• Cancellations made before the 4-day deadline: You will receive a 50% refund of the original test fee.
• Cancellations made within 4 days of the test date: No refund will be issued.

If you are taking the test in the Republic of Korea (ROK), the refund policy is as follows:
ROK Refund policy details:
• Cancellations made within 7 days of signing up for the test: You will receive a 100% refund of the original test fee.
• Cancellations made 8 days after signing up for the test and up to 4 days before the test date: You will receive a 50% refund of the original test fee.
• Cancellations made 3 days or less before the test date: No refund will be issued.
Note:
Before taking the IBT at Home test, you must first complete an online pre-registration process. This process can be completed from 3 days before the test date and will close 1 day before the test date. If you fail to complete the online pre-registration process, your test will be invalid and no refund will be issued.

What if I could not take the test due to a natural disaster or emergency situation?
A ‘Force-Majeure Event’ refers to extraordinary, unforeseen events beyond human control that prevent the completion of obligations. Examples include:
- Natural disasters (e.g., floods, earthquakes, hurricanes, or tsunamis)
- Acts of war, terrorism, or civil unrest
- Government-imposed restrictions (lockdowns, curfews)
- Epidemics, pandemics, or disease outbreaks
In these cases, ITSC is not liable for any delays or cancellations caused by such events.

How do I request a refund?
Steps to request a refund:
- Go to My Page > Registration/Test Status.
- Click on ‘Request Refund’ under Detail.
Refund policy details:
- If you cancel your test at least 4 days before the test date, you will receive a 50% refund.
- If you cancel the test within 4 days of the test date, no refund will be issued.
- Refunds are not provided in the following cases:
- Failure to follow registration procedures
- Absence from the test
- Arrival after the test start time
- Failure to provide valid identification

What happens if I forget to bring my ID on the test day?
On test day, you must bring the same ID that you used when registering for your test.
Please note: • If you forget your ID or bring the wrong ID, you will not be allowed to take the test. • In this case, no refund will be issued for the missed test.

I need to take the G-TELP test soon, but I lost my ID. What should I do?
If you have lost your ID and need to take the G-TELP test, take action immediately. Without valid ID, you will not be able to register or take the test.
What should you do:
Contact our service team at support@itsc-group.com for assistance.
Obtain a replacement ID from the appropriate authority. Ensure it meets the G-TELP ID requirements.

What types of identification are accepted?
- Your ID requirements depend on your citizenship and the location of your test.
To avoid issues, follow these steps:
- Make sure you have a valid ID before registering for a test.
- If you have questions about ID requirements, contact our support team at support@itsc-group.com.
- If you do not provide an acceptable ID on test day and fail to contact us in advance, no refund will be issued.

Your ID must meet the following criteria:
- Must be an original document (no photocopies or pictures)
- Must be a physical copy (digital copies are not accepted)
- Must be a government-issued and recognized in your country of citizenship or residence
- Must be a valid and not expired
- Include your full name and date of birth
- Have a recognizable photograph

Important Notice:
Your ITSC account name and the name on your ID must match exactly. If there are any discrepancies, you may be ineligible to take the test, and no round will be issued. If you anticipate issues, contact support@itsc-group.com before finalizing your registration.
How can I compare my G-TELP score with other tests?
English proficiency test scores can play a critical role in the university admission process or in a job application. If you are confused because there are a number of different language tests, each with its own scoring system, you can compare other scoring systems with G-TELP scores using the comparison table below.

I think my score is incorrect, where can I request a score review?
If you think that your score has been wrongly evaluated, you can request a score review for each section for a fee of $80 per section.
How to request a score review:
- Go to My Page > Registration >Test Status.
- Click on ‘Check Score’ in the score release date section.
- Select Request Score Review.
Please note:
- Score review requests must be requested within 30 days of the test date
- Each section can be reviewed only once
- Reviews are only available for the following sections:
- G-TELP Speaking Test
- G-TELP Writing Test
- G-TELP Business Speaking Test
- G-TELP Business Writing Test

I would like another copy of my score report, how can I request it?
To request a score report copy:
- Go to ‘My Page > Registration/Test Status.
- Select the test session.
- Select Detail > Check Score.
- Click Request Additional Reports.
Important Notes:
- The fee for each report is $25.
- Reports will be delivered to the address listed in your accounts contact information.
- To change your delivery address, update your contact information in My Page > Personal Information’.
- We are not responsible for delays or errors caused by incorrect shipping details.

How long are my scores valid for?
G-TELP scores are valid for two years from the test date. After this period, your scores will automatically expire, and you will no longer be able to view them on the website.
An error occurred while checking my result, what should I do?
If an error occurred while checking your result, try the following:
Double-check the information you entered to ensure accuracy.
Refresh the page and try again
Clear your browser’s cache and cookies, then attempt to check your result again.
Where can I find my test result?
To find your test result:
- Go to My Page > Registration/ Test Status.
- Click Detail to see your results.
- To see more details, go to Registration/ Test Status Detail> Score Release Date and click on Check Score.

How long does it take to receive my test result?
Test result timelines:
- G-TELP Level Test, Speaking Test, and Writing Test: Results released within 8 working days.
- G-TELP Business Speaking&Writing Test: Results released within 7 working days.
- G-TELP Junior Test: Results released within 5 working days.
Score Reports:
- Available online.
- Paper reports are mailed only to those who request them.

How long do G-TELP tests last?
The test time for the G-TELP tests varies depending on the test type.

Can I use the restroom during the test?
No, use of the restroom is prohibited during the G-TELP Test.
Important Notes:
- If you leave the test room to use the restroom, the current test session will be invalidated.
- To avoid this, it is strongly advised to use the restroom during the break time provided before the test begins.

There are no specific eligibility restrictions when applying for the G-TELP Test.

What do Mastery, Near Mastery, and No Mastery mean?
Mastery, Near Mastery, and No Mastery are indicators of overall proficiency in the score report.
The test scores are determined by the number of correct answers. A score for each section (Grammar, Listening, Reading and Vocabulary) is expressed as a percentage of correct answers, and the total score is determined by the average percentage of three sections.
Overall Proficiency Indicators
The following indicators are provided in the score report:

How do the G-TELP tests work?
The G-TELP (General Test of English Language Proficiency) is designed to measure English proficiency. The test is used to assess various English skills, primarily focusing on speaking, listening, reading, and writing abilities.

How can I apply a coupon?
You can apply the coupon during the test registration process. At the final step on the payment page, you can apply a coupon by selecting the desired coupon from the ‘Select Coupon’ section. Once selected, the discount will be automatically applied to the total payment amount.
Can someone else make a payment for my G-TELP test?
Yes, someone else can make a payment for your G-TELP test. To do this, they should log in to your G-TELP account using your username and password. Make sure they log in to the correct account to prevent any confusion. If they are creating the account on your behalf, confirm that they provide you with the correct login details to access both your account and the purchased test. Additionally, you can use their payment details. Make sure the payment details include the following information:

Security Code
Cardholder’s Name

Where can I find my order and payment status?
You can find your order status by clicking on ‘My Page > Registration/ Test status’. Click on ‘Details’ to check both your order status and payment details.
There was an error during the payment process, what should I do?
Sometimes there may be an error during processing of your online credit card transaction. The reasons for such errors may simply include the use of a wrong card number or reaching the card limit, among other possibilities.
If an error occurs during the payment process, you can try refreshing the current webpage and retrying the payment. Another solution could be to contact your Credit Card Issuer or bank to address any payment processing issues. My payment is not working, what should I do?
G-TELP accepts two payment methods, which are credit card and PayPal. There are a variety of reasons why your payment might fail. If your credit card payment failed, the reasons can vary between banks and the secure payment gateways we use to store your credit card details. The most common causes include:
Card declined by issuer
Expired credit card
Insufficient funds
Restricted card
Lost or stolen card
Should the issue stem from an expired, lost, stolen, or outdated credit card, updating your credit card information will address the problem. Alternatively, if transactions are still unsuccessful, reaching out to your bank or credit card issuer for additional information may be necessary. I have a health-related issue, where can I apply for test accommodations?
ITSC strives to ensure that our test is impartial and accessible to all. Depending on individual circumstances, accommodations such as extra time, adjusted proctoring, or external aids may be granted. These accommodations are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. If you will need accommodations for a disability or health-related need, you must request them before you register for a test. Make sure you obtain approval for your accommodations from ITSC’s Disability Services by submitting your request prior to scheduling your test.

How to cancel or reschedule a test?
Rescheduling the test is not allowed, so if you want to reschedule it, you will have to cancel the test and register again. To cancel your test, go to ‘My Page > My Test or Registration/Test Status’. If you cancel your reservation no later than four days before the test date, we will refund you half of the original test cost.

How to register for a test?
To register for the G-TELP tests, you can follow these general steps. First, log in or sign up for an account. What is the difference between G-TELP at Center and G-TELP IBT at Home?
The difference between the G-TELP at Center and G-TELP IBT at Home is the testing environment and the mode of test delivery.
The G-TELP at Center is conducted under the supervision of test center staff. Furthermore, the test center provides the necessary equipment and materials for the test.
The G-TELP IBT at Home can be taken from the comfort of your home, or another suitable location, and the test is proctored remotely through the internet. Moreover, you will use your own computer and internet connection to complete the test and you have more control over your testing environment, as long as you meet the specific requirements to ensure a secure and fair testing experience.
